Welcome Ever Thine Home, sponsor of Allume!
Home: Toys litter the floor. Dishes crowd the sink. Fingerprints shine through windows. Dandelions wait for a vase. Laughter alternating with cries echo through the halls. Artwork covers the fridge.
The only problem is that as a young mom, it was MY artwork covering our fridge.
I ran myself ragged in those early years, mothering all day to keep my little ones content and healthy while trying to reserve time and energy for creating art during my one window of alone time: afternoon naps. But incessant cries of “Momma, Momma” daily interrupted my precious hour for art. Frustrated and overwhelmed, I finally made a pact: “God, I give you my art supplies and my desire to grow my mustard seed talent. If you want me to have them back someday, great. But for now, I’m focusing on my kids.”
I loved painting. I was becoming good at painting. I could make money from painting. But I loved my kids more.
In our homes we nurture. We love. We live. We raise our children. Because of this, home matters more than anything else. But finding ways to celebrate home and remind ourselves and our children of its sacredness takes time and energy that is emptied loving our kids.
Too often women feel defeated. Too often women think everyone else is doing more. So three years ago, I created Ever Thine Home: an avenue God has used to repurpose my passion for creativity and motherhood. At Ever Thine Home, we help you believe beautifully in the messiness of the day to day.
Every woman wants her home to be cozy and inviting, and since God is a god of beauty, our homes should reflect who He is. Deuteronomy 6 instructs us to display His truth on the doorposts and on our gates.
Ever Thine Home offers many ways to adorn your home with charm and truth so that all who enter are drawn to the One who sustains it.
Our practical resources make it easy to talk to your family about the depth of who God is, but are simple enough to fit in to your already-busy, regular routine. Finishing a 6-week family devotion isn’t the goal. Instead, focus on organically exposing your children to scripture and simply start the family conversation about God. Doing something—anything— even one single conversation is worth it.
Your home is your embassy. It’s an expression of who you are: your values, your faith, your relationships. How will you be an ambassador to those who dwell in it and to those who grace the doorways as guests? At Ever Thine Home we will help you make being together more meaningful and add that which lasts forever in your home and family all year long.
