Allume FAQ

Muse is changing its name to Allume! What does this mean for you? Essentially nothing, everything will happen behind the scenes. You are not required to do anything, the app will continue working and will update its name automatically this summer.

Why is the name changing?
An opportunity came up regarding the Muse name and trademarks. These have now been sold, so I need to move the app to a new name. Nothing else about the company, the app, your account, or your data has changed.
What else is changing besides the name?
Nothing! 😄
What do I need to do to upgrade?
Nothing! The name change will happen automatically for you. There is no new download required at all. Everything about your workflow and data remains unchanged.
Does this affect my account, my data, or my subscription?
No. This affects only the name of the app. Nothing about your account, subscription, or your data changes at all.
Are the team and company the same?
Yes! The company and app are still run by Adam Wulf. Nothing has changed regarding the company, team, or core app.
When is this happening?
The name change will coincide with the release of v4.0 in summer 2026.
Why Allume?
After looking through thousands of potential names, Allume stood out. It means “very bright” and “switched on”. Those moments of clarity come through purposeful deep thought, and Muse, now Allume, is that calm space where you can nurture and grow your bright inspirations.
How do I pronounce "Allume"?
Ah-loom
How can I help?
I am looking for help recording new videos for the v4.0 app. The new app has a new Liquid Glass interface that requires new videos and screenshots for the website, App Store, and a new gesture handbook. If you’re interested, please email adam@allume.com.
