Sole Hope
Jiggers are small sand fleas that burrow into the bare feet of thousands of Ugandan children who often live their lives without adequate footwear and a misconception about the cause of jiggers. The result is infection, gangrene, paralysis, and occasionally amputation and even death.
A graphic, heartbreaking YouTube video exposed the truth about jiggers to Asher Collie. Her love of children and her desire to help others compelled her to start Sole Hope, a ministry who’s mission is “Offering HOPE, healthier lives, and freedom from foot-related diseases through education, jobs, and medical relief.”
Through medical and education, initiatives as well as training the art of shoemaking to many, Sole Hope is restoring HOPE to children and adults both physically and spiritually.

The story of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:30-37) gives a clear picture of God’s desire for us to help those in desperate need wherever we find them. After describing how the Samaritan rescued a hurting man whom others had passed by, Jesus told His hearers, “Go and do likewise.” Our emergency relief programs provide desperately needed assistance to victims of natural disaster, war, disease, and famine. As we offer food, water, and temporary shelter, we meet critical needs and give people a chance to rebuild their lives. Operation Christmas Child is a program organized by Samaritan’s Purse to bring shoe boxes of gifts to needy children across the world.

Red Letter Art
As a Christian woman, my hope is that my art connects people to the unchanging truth of God’s word and reminds them just how much God loves them. Red Letter Words takes its name from the words spoken by Jesus in the New Testament, which appear printed in red in some editions. I was decorating my home and wanted wall art with an “erased chalkboard” look, but it was hard to find. I wanted something modern and casual but with a vintage touch and something that could complement my family photos and help to tell our story. So I decided to make my own art and started giving it away to friends and family for baby showers and birthdays, and as Christmas and wedding presents. I was positively overwhelmed by the response.
